Mo-Sci’s Total Quality Management (TQM) approach extends beyond statistical quality assurance techniques and quality improvement methods to provide complete overview and re-evaluation of the product specifications to raw material, manufacture, environmental protection, safety, reliability, and documentation.
Quality Assurance (QA) acts to improve production and the processes to minimize or avoid issues which could lead to a defect through systematic measurement, comparison standards, monitoring of processes and a Corrective/Preventative Action feedback loop.
To make certain our products are appropriate for the intended purpose and to eliminate mistakes, QA monitors the quality of raw materials, products, management, production and inspection processes using the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” Process Approach.
- Plan – Establish the objectives and processes necessary to deliver results in accordance with customer requirements and the organization’s policy.
- Do – Implement the processes
- Check – Monitor and measure processes and product against policies, objectives, and requirements for the product and report the results.
- Act – Take actions to continually improve process performance.
Quality is not inspected into a product; it is created with the product. This begins with the integrity of confident, knowledgeable personnel in an organizational culture that provides motivation, team spirit, and quality relationships. The QMS outlines the controls, job management, well-managed processes, performance and integrity criteria, and identification of record required. Products are inspected against specifications or descriptions of acceptable and unacceptable product defects before the product is sent to a customer.
