Chopped or Continuous Glass Fibers AccuRODS precision chopped or continuous glass fibers are available from a wide variety of commercial glass compositions, e.g., silicate, borosilicate, borate and phosphate glasses. Where unique needs exist, such as biocompatibility or bioabsorbability, Mo-Sci develops specialty glass compositions and produces them in fiber form. Upon request, surface properties can be varied in a controlled fashion. AccuRODS can be coated with organic, inorganic metallic, and can be made hydrophobic or hydrophilic. AccuRODS fibers coated with metals such as Ni, Co, Cu, Ag, or Au can be electrically conductive and corrosion resistant.

Mo-Sci manufactures AccuRODS under strict quality control procedures for biological and medical applications.

Glass fibers of varying diameters (10 to 200 µm) can be supplied with diameter variation of 10% or less.
